Quebec
Canada’s largest province offers unbelievable scenic wilderness and modern cities with old-world charm. French is the first language and English second, giving the province a European flair uncommon to the rest of North America. You name it, in Quebec has it - gardens, history, heritage, monuments, lighthouses, covered bridges – to name a few. Quebec City is the capital and remains the only North American city still fortified by its original city walls. Montréal is Canada's second largest city and plays host to an assortment of international events and festivals and is world-renowned for its nightlife and literary scene. The South St. Lawrence area stretches from the U.S.A. border up to the Gaspe peninsula between the St. Lawrence River and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Visitors can take advantage of the array of outdoor activities that stem from the region's attractions, including the Appalachian Mountains and an abundance of lakes, rivers, national parks and vineyards. Similar to its USA neighbor, a particularly good time to visit the region is in the Fall when the valleys and riverbanks are set alight with the fiery colors of fall.
