Each week, Golden Door welcomes just 40 guests into its world of peace and tranquility, where everyday life is left behind. In an intimate setting inspired by Japanese Honjin inns, this glowing jewel of ornamental gardens, covered wooden walkways, and sparkling streams and waterfalls offers you unequalled personal service and individual attention.
Your comfort and convenience are paramount. The staff (in a 4:1 staff-to-guest ratio) cheerfully ensure that your needs and preferences are fulfilled. A complete spa wardrobe, including warm-ups, t-shirts, shorts, robe and sandals is supplied for use during your stay. Your Program Interviewer and personal Fitness Guide help you choose from over 70 classes and activities to create a unique schedule designed to help you achieve your goals, from challenging fitness training to a contemplative inner journey. Interwoven into each day's activities are relaxing respites, including a daily in-room massage and a luxurious facial or body treatment.
Meals are a feast for all the senses. For his garden-to-plate cuisine, Executive Chef Curtis Cooke takes great care to use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients available; many harvested that morning from our organic garden or provided by local farmers. Our nutritional consultant provides invaluable information during weekly talks and is available for private consultations.
At week's end you receive a take-home fitness program. This, together with the valuable lessons you have learned during your stay, ensures that you can continue the journey you began at the Golden Door toward a healthier, more balanced and mindful life.
Men's and co-ed weeks are scheduled on a quarterly basis, while 39 weeks each year are reserved exclusively for women.
